I may have said it many times before, and as an ex Tech manager for an oil and Lubes company you should always use the makers recommended oil / coolant / grease / additive / etc. etc. Sorry just cus a mate says use it doesn't mean its good for the vehicle. Too many company's make money by saying its "better" whilst they never tell you the downsides, just mooch around a classic car show and be cynical about the claims... The major oil company's know what is best, they spend £trillions on research into the composition of lubes. Sorry I dont mean to offend, but I could go on and on about this subject and bore for the world (and sometimes do with my tour guide colleagues at a well known Sports car manufacturer in Malvern)......
