Hi, all,

Mine is the Ledgerwood demonstrator which i now have on permanent loan until it becomes mine at the end of the month. I spec'd it with Phil and paid a deposit before he ordered it as i figured this was the best and quickest way to get what i wanted. Unlike a lot of others, i liked the 'white' factory car so went one shade darker (closer to ivory) with green leather and dark wood (unlike the light wood in the factory car), and i love the combination.

Manual box, side exit exhausts, didn't bother with radio (rather listen to the engine note!), black and chrome steering wheel and standard S5 alloys. I will put some pictures up.

I had a dark green 2013 Aero Plus8 before, about which there is a thread on this forum page somewhere as it got a lot of comment when i sold it via Phil. The S5 is on a whole different level, though i have not driven one of the 'new chassis' Plus8's. The handling is a significant step up and the ride is improved, too.

There have been comments about it being more GT than sports car and i do agree with this to look at - but it doesn't feel like it when you drive it.

Build quality? Best yet (and i have had 5 trads, 2 M3W's and a Plus8). Love the painted dash (thought i would hate it) and everything fits as it should, including the boot.

Hood is fine once you get used to it.

Niggles? Well, passenger door lock has to be replaced as it is temperamental to say the least and tend to not release properly so sometines you can't shut the door without fiddling with a screwdriver. And the seats could do with more adjustment. But that is about it.

I love it and it is the perfect companion for my M3W Brooklands. One for the long term, i think, as i am not sure how long they will be able to keep putting the V8 into it, and having had a 3.7 Roadster, it just doesn't seem right to think of it as an Aero6, somehow.

If you are thinking about it, go for it. You won't be disappointed.

Chris
