Have been taking off the lower brackets fixed to the body to bend them into a v shape so they actually hold the bonnet as they weren't doing due to being flat at the tops. Then front wheels off and spraying a few cans of anti stone chip black stuff to ward off flying grit to avoid dents under ali which would push through to the surface. Bought a 2t hyd jack from screwfix to lift the car as no jack anywhere and obviously no spare wheel ! Looking forward to getting another car lift as have sold my old one , so much easier to look underneath and do jobs ! Wondering about putting a removable plate over the sump plug as it looks just in line with speed humps !
