I think there may be quite a few grades that could be contenders, certainly the ones mentioned. If the tubes haven’t been machined the bores may well be out of round so gap filling capability would be a consideration. Plan A for me is to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use 648 with my Hilubes. [/quote]
Loctite 648 looks good for Vesconite Hi-Lube other than "Rapid Cure". Certainly would want enough time to to get the bush in position and aligned and also grease seals in place. So I would look at "Rapid Cure" Directions carefully.
Not sure but I think Tim H. will use bronze and therefore I would use 680 unless somebody with more information and actual use on Loctite gave other advice.
