Morning all.
I've noticed my cars nears side mirror stem was looking rather sorry for itself. So I've tried polishing it but have inadvertently exposed the base metal
In my defence it was bad and the lighting conditions weren't the best. The offside came up quite nicely.
Anyway, both bases are reasonably okay with minimal sign of deterioration in the chrome. So am I better replacing the poor near side stem/mirror with a new like for like item or replace both with the Williams type convex upgrade? Do they improve the view behind as stated? Presumably the later option will be more expensive.
