Welcome to TM V8Dave,
I've had my 1996 Plus 8 for 8 years, it's the most fun you can have with your clothes on!
A couple of years ago I changed the front suspension to the Suplex system, it makes it nicer without taking away the uniqueness.
I tend to use mine in the summer only, many on here are all year rounders, it's simply down to personal choice.
I just love the easy cruising, superb torque and acceleration, and that gorgeous lazy V8 burble. It's a different driving experience which really makes you feel at one with the car and you're driving it, not just pointing it in the direction you want to go.
Downsides? It's not quiet! (Is that a downside?), it's thirsty, and as KenA said the footwell can get hot in hot weather.
It's a Morgan so you'll need to grease the front suspension every 1000 miles (others may say different intervals) but I see that as part of the joy of Mog ownership. My everyday drive is a Mercedes, my wife's is a Porsche, both great cars but you don't get the connection with the car that you do with a Mog.
My advice - go for it, you'll not stop grinning. Even if you did decide it wasn't for you you'll almost certainly be able to sell it for at least as much as you paid for it.
