I use mine all year round. Wintertime just needs a bit of tlc to wash salt/grime off, protective spray as SBM says, warm clothing......

There are not many days when the roads are really bad with salt/ice etc.
I will be out later on a couple of errands too.
Pre winter I wash and rewax the car, top up underneath with dinitrol, wipe acf on some exposed areas. It is a well protected car with galv chassis, underseal,stainless parts.
With not so many organised days out in winter there is plenty of garage time available for planned jobs too.
OK, mine is a standard car with no special provenance, if it was an "important" car then I would think twice and definitely get a runabout for winter use.
