Its funny, I was considering an Aston some time back.

A nice DB9 with some mileage on it to use daily so I did not catch a cold on the loss. They do represent great value if you can handle the servicing costs. I like the purity of the DB9 shape as well.

But it never felt quite right. It did not live up to the dream.

Yet when I drive the Morgan I do feel VERY British and special. I almost feel like the next James Bond movie needs to star an Aero5 or a Max instead of yet another overdone Aston made out of Unobtainium that no one can buy. If it had the sidepipes they could save a couple of million dubbing the soundtrack as well !

The Mog has the ability to be REALLY special where the Aston is no longer as special. Unless it is a trad DB2-3-4-5-6 and that is a different ownership prospect in these madly inflated times. Also the retained value on the Mog works out better. Now if only I could use it every day. There is always a catch.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
