Personally not done this upgrade however I would try where possible to use a spare fuse slot in the fuse box taking an input wire directly from the battery feed... I can imagine it taking quite a high load to operate the pump possibly 20 or 30 amps.

Does the kit come with a fuse in the line already??

Can you give closer pictures of the harness ends and the red & black thingy in the pics above.
