Hi Speed,

Since you inquired about engine turned dash panels I decided to prematurely give you a sneak peak of my winter project. It's almost complete.

This is an engine turned .063" DGL-50 pattern ( 1/2" swirls ) stainless steel dash panel fabricated by FPM Metals in Nebraska. Their work is exemplary and they have replicated engine turned panels for Bugatti and Deusenberg. In general design terms, the smaller the panel the smaller the swirl diameter and vice versa. The DGL-50 pattern from FPM Metals is appropriate for the M3W dash. I provided all accurate tracings. I used the standard leather panels as a template for the sides and modified the standard central aluminum panel for the center. I redesigned the mounting system for the tachymeter and speedometer and designed new stainless steel bezels which have been fabricated but not highly polished yet. I've included a picture of one of the bezels before final polish. Also being fabricated are highly polished smooth stainless steel toggle switches. All this is simply a cosmetic makeover. I would liked to have used retro analog type gauges but didn't want to mess around with electrical changes so our stock speedometer and tachymeter are used, so all functionality is the same including the toggle switches.

I had the plastic housing for the steering column professionally painted gloss black and polished the Brooklands steering wheel. My custom Mike Lempert English Walnut steering wheel is almost finished as well.

Will provide a picture when all finished. It's been a lot of fun bringing all this together.
