I just had a look at my conventional slide rule (can't find the circular one) and the only manufacturer's mark on it is a symbol with 'P G'.

It's an engineer's rule with scales to convert Kilowatts to Horse Power and stuff. My guess from the style and appearance is that it dates from the 1950's, it was my FiL's.

A couple of minutes googling has revealed that there's a whole community of slide rule enthusiasts out there! Shame I have to work today, but at least I can probably find out a bit more about it.
