Extremely neat solution.
We travel with an old Samsonite (covered in the waterproof picnic rug) and held on with webbing straps.
That was our solution last year. Got fed up with lugging a 26kg case up stairs in French guest houses and with the 20 minutes strapping on process. I also think I have eliminated the need for an extra brake light strapped to the case.
