I bought a master file directly from
Viezu . As I had the kit to re-flash my own ECU there was little point in going to a dealer. I believe a dealer might use a tuning company like Viezu if you purchase a re-map through them.
Don’t expect too much from a remap on the 1.8! My first impression after jumping in and driving around the block was that it seemed very slightly more tolerant (happier) at pulling at low engine speed in the lower gears. Which I have to confess is more relevant for my driving style and I am happy with that. It’s difficult for me to compare any power differences because it only really becomes apparent up towards the top end which to be honest is not how I drive. Having said that it does seem a bit more frantic up there. The remap hasn’t been in that long and over the winter my car hasn’t been very far at all, just a few very local trips. I’m looking forward to the opportunity for a decent run to really try it out.
PS – This
ECU comes with the same tune if required
