When you say tow bar I assume you mean attached to the front. I had an MG midget that I towed behind our motorhome. The tow brackets were welded to the ends of the chassis logitudinals and while towing in Florida one side brokeoff. Disaster was averted by the safety chains andthe slow speed over rail tracks. My advise is to thru bolt the brackets thru the chassis and use nylock nuts to secure. I have seen a set up using the upper and lowercross bars but I would be hesitant to go that route. I intended to tow my +8 but instead purchased a used truck complete with all the necessary towing attachments. To date I have about 30000 trouble free miles towing.
