One thing I noticed on the way home is that when I blip on a downshift, the lights get brighter..
Any ideas, is this a voltage regulator/stabiliser issue or?
If the difference is major then it needs investigating. Obviously if the engine goes from idle to 3k revs, then alternator output voltage will increase and the lights brighten but the alternator should have reached full output by about 1500 rpm so if your throttle blips are from say 3k revs to 4k revs then there should be no change.
