I've just had another look at your photo. I wouldn't do it. You're clearly not a "no badges at any price" man, and if you take them off I think you'll be putting them back before too long.
But what I would do is straighten and tension that hood cover
its a tonneau cover that goes over the hood and the rear seats
I know what you mean though and I have a plan to make a tonneau cover brace that fits on to the rear side screen knob thingumy and goes under the tonneau cover just behind the front seats to keep it all tensioned and taught
