Yes, the aerodynamic method doesn't keep you completely dry although I used it many times with some success in very heavy rain on my old 4 seater and a few times in this one. The thing about a 4 seater with the old style hood (like Steve's) is that the hood takes a while to put up; so to stop and put it up gets you wetter than keeping going. Also the 4 seater windscreen is higher and provides better protection. On the newer 2 seaters with easy up hoods the hood is up so quickly that you may as well stop.
