I don't think the aero is as windy as a classic so you don't need quite such a solid level of defence. It is more the draught around the ears and neck.
I tend to use the Series 2 with the top down unless the rain is heavy, you can enjoy the sidepipes better that way. If you are on the motorway you can even drive with the top down in the rain to a good degree. You get a few "mad as a badger" looks but that becomes part of the fabric of Morgan ownership.
The main problem seems to be around the neck and ears. I have started to use layering as mentioned above for most of the year. I only use the jacket when it is really cold. Mountain Warehouse offer a nice Merino zip/high neck top which is very comfy and good quality. It also has the benefit of longer arms with thumb holes. I would not recommend using the thumb holes as this makes the wheel slippery but it does mean your wrists stay warm.
