I have a removable Moto Lita wood wheel. Once, when taking it off to get behind the dash, I dropped it. A small cut was made. I tried replacing the sliver that came off....no joy. It is at the rear so not visible. I sprayed clear lacquer onto it . I can feel it but not see it. I intend building up more coats of lacquer over the whole rim at some stage from the aerosol can I bought.

Don't fret, just enjoy the car. I think of it as similar to my own patina! Wrinkles, creases, scars...The history behind them is irreplaceable.
