Under EU law most products have a 2 year guarantee. I don't know if that applies to parts fitted to cars.
In any case under Sale of Goods Act 1979 (amended):
Goods must conform to contract in so much as:
(a) fitness for all the purposes for which goods of the kind in question are commonly supplied,
(b) appearance and finish,
(c) freedom from minor defects,
(d) safety, and
(e) durability.
Less than 2 years for a radiator that one would expect to last as much as 20 years does not seem to comply with (e).
