Thank goodness you're both OK, but how annoying and frustrating. Let's hope that the repairs can be made before the end of the summer.....

A few years ago a bloke ran into the back of my sister who was stationary at a red traffic light in her Twingo. The car was shortened by about 2ft, and she had to be cut out of it by the fire brigade. As soon as she was released, she turned to the bloke who'd rammed her and said (in French) "and when I'm not here, how do you usually stop".

This example of the British stiff upper lip had the gendarmes rolling around with laughter.
