- been a couple of times now for the full weekend (not this year ,sadly) and it is a really great event.

The owner/mechanic at my local garage - who is a real petrol head - had been trying to talk me into going for years but I never got around to it.

It is busy, overpriced for a lot of things - but very well organised and managed. The traffic to and fro can be a bit of a nightmare swear and you need to book accommodation months in advance. It is also a blooming long way from Newcastle ... doh

There are lots of guides/tips re. what to do/see and when - i.e the best times of day.The paddocks are great if you get there really early when they are taking the covers off and starting up the engines and the rally stage at the top of the hill is worth the trek (or the shuttle!).If you time it right, you can miss the 'herd' at lots of these points. smile

My wife came with me to the last one and I thought she would be bored silly but she really enjoyed it ,which was a bonus thumbs

I've never tried the 'Revival' but it also looks like a lot of fun.

The TT is also on my 'bucket list'.....
