Kenny - I would try the car without the cover and see how things go. A decent trimmer can then alter the cover to suit you - once you know how you want it to fit.

Adopting a full length tonneau cover (as referred to by others above) may not work depending on if the car has the "lift the dot" pins installed on the padded roll above the dashboard. The pins are usually only fitted if a full tonneau cover is supplied.



All you say is spot on Paul and thanks. I would like a full tonneau but as you correctly guess my car would need work on the leather dash to retrofit the pins. I don't need it desperately enough to do that.

I will indeed use the car next time out with the rear tonneau removed and drive it in a more comfortable position, ie a bit further back from the wheel.
