My cost per mile includes all the costs mentioned above over the time I have owned my M3W - 7,600 miles over 5 years (only used April to October). And Jalopniks cost to own a Bugatti was based over a 5 year stretch with 2500 miles a year max.
Yes, over time the number will drop as my mileage increases, but as I was told by the dealership, my M3W has had more issues than any other they have dealt with, totaling over $15k. In fact, it is at the dealership right now getting fixed again.
That is a shame. That's a lot of money to have to spend. I'd be put off as well.
Having trouble with the math in your posts though. Are your figures counting the purchase price of the vehicle and their's(jalopnik Bugatti) are not?
