You may be being a little optimistic there. My business car spends reasonable amount of its life being thrashed up and down motorways, regulalry in excess of 70mph, and yet over 4 years and 40k miles the average speed is not much over 32mph according to the computer.

To average 40mph you'll need to be doing 80mph for the same aamount of time you are stationary. Not impossible, of course!

Or just mostly highway driving and not much in town slow driving.

My 2016 GMC Terrain for over one year of driving back and forth to work and weekends etc it right around 46 mph the last time I looked at the computer setting.

Oh, in that year I clocked of 20k miles, so it hit the road hard too.

So it's possible to be in the 40's without much of a problem.
