rain gets through bonnet louvres when car is parked stationary for a period of time , which has built up around the spark plugs causing the engine to miss ,
i have to remove the water by pushing kitchen towel around the plugs to soak up the water, its a 1994 4/4 zetec .I have made a pair of thin aly sections
which divert the water past the line of the plugs , the sections are fixed to the center bonnet hinge on both sides about 25mm loer than the bonnet and lift when opening .each aly section is hemmed to let the water divert forward and not to fall on the plugs, i have been using the car a lot in hot weather and it doesn,t seem to cause any overheating problems .the problem realy only happens when the car is stationary.
