Further to my original query about a small engine oil leak, i am now fairly sure that this was caused by oil draining from the oil tank to the sump on standing & then leaking onto the garage floor. At a recent service the agent advised that he had experienced a problem where a very low mileage M3W had leaked oil from the oil tank to the sump & then filled the cylinders!
Latest advice from Morgan Cars UK:
All Three Wheelers must be started & driven on a regular basis to prevent oil drain back through the oil scavange pump causing engine sump to be over full resulting in oil leaks.
Question is, Why no non return valve in the oil line?
