The big treat for me, though, will be driving along the North Antrim coast from Larne to Portrush.

. Portrush sounds like another Golf Course destination of note. I have never visited the area but there are also some vintage Road Racing Routes in that area, I believe.
The SatNav took us on a very nice non motorway country route from Reading to Chichester Via Alton & Petersfield (Passed close to Goodwood for 'Revival' visitors). Smooth flowing roads with some interesting curves, hills and dales. Will go that way again in a couple of weeks time.
