My initial thoughts are that if Facebook is used over the forum then there's a chance that the forum becomes redundant - Like so many have said, for me this forum has provided so much support and interest over the few years I've owned a M3W that for me its become an essential part of Morgan ownership, I also believe that it provides more than simple club membership within our world. (I'm in both MSCC & MTWC). In fact it's good to see that both clubs now link to this forum realising that there is a strong need for focused media to publicise events, notices and articles
The other side of the coin is as we've often discussed, whether the forum is an ideal place sometimes for the organisational too & fro posts as ideas grow and develop into plans whereas social media and/or simple phone calls can suffice.
Having been involved over many years with the 'Riders Branch' of the royal British legion and having utilised their forum the same argument ensued FB or Forum. It opened up divides with some groups going their own way, so for an organisation that's less than ideal.
To finalise - I feel that Facebook is great as a small closed group (and there are already dedicated morgan pages) to enhance events for sure but not at the expense of Talk Morgan.
