I had to remove my speedo to access the sheer bolts( but couldn't get them off even with drilling) , I took an angle grinder to the corgi car metal bracket to remove it.
You can see the old ignition switch off the car on the ground
( far right of picture)

Bugger of a job.

New switch fitted with stainless Allen bolts

I tightly did them up through the speedo hole.
