I seem to recall that Bentley and RR leaf springs were "superfinished" by lapping the leaves together, or did I imagine that ?
I'm about to refit the original leaf springs to my Jaguar Special after having them reset. They're much better quality than the new ones I currently have fitted.
I intend to lubricate between the leaves and then wrap in Denso tape.
