I went to a local Indian Dealer to have new front tires mounted because I thought they would have more experience with wire wheels. No problem mounting the tires. They only use injectable self balancing beads now and convinced me that’s the way to go. I don’t know what happened but my steering wheel shook terribly. Perhaps they didn’t place the correct amount of beads in the inner tubes. You can’t get the beads out so I had to get new tubes, remount the tires, and they took the wheels to a car shop to have the wheels computer balanced using conventional weights. Now it’s perfect. I’m glad others have had better luck with self balancing beads.
I’m going with traditional weights.
