Thanks for all the input. You have provided some good starting points. Tomorrow, with help from a couple of experienced and knowledgeable Morgan owners we are going to tackle the problem. Will post the outcome for future reference.
And glad to hear that my problem reading the wiring diagram was experienced by someone else and not due to that last glass of merlot.
