Quite frankly, this is verging on a rant but what has happened to the patience and the rhetorical language on TM these days..?

Once upon a time TM was noted for being different from the plethora of other motoring forums out there. Simon is extremely reasonable and allows the forum to 'self-police' itself and get away from the petty and the puerile, and yet the slide down that slope is getting steeper and steeper over recent months.

It's a Morgan forum first and foremost, and the Morgan world is a very small one indeed. The forum provides opportunities for people to engage with others of a similar mind not within striking distance of fellow enthusiasts, but over recent times it's become a very angry and bigoted place.

It's now getting hijacked by people who don't own Morgans and never will, with loads of aggressive and negative languaged postings, it's getting abused with postings that are to many, on the very edge of either legality or taste, but what I really, REALLY miss is humour.

There are so many people on here that I speak with that miss that spark of humour. So many tell me that TM was such a fun place, and silliness abounded. We had puns, we had fun and we had times to make us laugh that took us away from the reality of the world and allowed us to bond.

I've made so many good friends through organising and attending TM events, and it's such a great invention that I really feel sad to see it being taken down a road that the majority don't want.

I won't quote specific posts, but there are a dozen posters here and abroad that very rarely contribute anything worthwhile for the rest of us, just come on here and berate anything and everything. If it's something that's relevant then that's fine, but a lot is simply just old men moaning at the world. It's become a drop in centre for the dispossessed it seems.

I have to confess I'm at the end of my tether with it all. Now, it may just be me here, but I'm finding modern TM to be a bit of a bear pit and it's simply grinding me down.

My Christmas wish would be for more tolerant language in postings, more humour and more on the lighter side of life. I would love more Morgan and motoring related postings, and less bigotry, less aggression and less attitude.

It's everyone's Morgan forum, and it's up to us to change. It may just be me as I say, and in which case the answer is clear, but I know I'm not alone in this.

Over to everyone else, now..
