Last question...I popped open the plywood cover behind the seats. I see a jack, a crank a hammer. Other cavities in the foam plastic are empty. Were these originally for tools, first aid kit and perhaps spare oil? Previous owner never went there...thx

Cole, one thing which you might want to think about:

If you have wire wheels ( and I assume you have) what type of spinners or locking nuts do you have.

If you have 'eared' spinners, then clearly, you knock these off and on/ tighten with a hammer( soft faced, copper/hide or similar)
If- as might be more likely, you have what are called 'continental pattern' which are a large octagonal nut but without spinners, then you are going to need some kind of large spanner( for use with or without the hammer) to loosen and tighten them

You might want to check that the car came with one of these.
