All very nice, but my alternative is a cord with a loop at each end.
(One end loops over the open bonnet front catch and then goes down to the opposite closed bonnet front catch)
OK Simon, but how do you keep your trousers up if your using the cord for the bonnet....

James: It was a problem before I was given a second piece of cord last Christmas.
Until then, I had to ensure that Susie was with me to hold my trousers up, prior to opening the bonnet.
- you stretching to open/fix the bonnet and Susie holding your trews up.....
