In Austria, the regulations are not so strict. Telephoning is allowed with handsfree. At red lights even without handsfree. Listening to music from the mobile phone through the speakers in the vehicle is also allowed (but not selecting songs).
The use as a navigation device is allowed (device must be mounted in the vehicle). Entering the destination address while driving is prohibited.
The use of the mobile phone as a remote control is not explicitly regulated by law. If the mobile phone is used illegally while driving, the penalty is € 50, -
