I thoroughly enjoyed my trip across the USA. My 2013 car had all of the recommended factory upgrades but I have to admit I was worried about reliability. However, the only slight problem I had was a fracture of the RHS front mudguard mount which was repaired easily and quickly at a little hot rod shop. I did have the car serviced at Morgan West in Santa Monica before heading up highway 1 to San Francisco.
The only time I have had a major issue on a trip was when I broke a valve spring when in Portugal. Fortunately I broke down right outside a motorcycle repair shop! I suppose I am lucky as I have the car serviced at the Morgan factory so I know the people there. I had new valve springs and all the replacement gaskets 24 hrs after contacting them and they were fitted and off I went.
I don’t think there is a better way to travel and see places. If only I had the time I wouldn’t hesitate to join you. I would love to see your route and I really look forward to following your blog.
