Like many people in this damp and cold island, I head south and over the channel if I can. Different culture, different language. I really enjoyed a trip to northern spain taking the ferry to either santander or bilbao - cant remember which and then into the Picos mountains
The Spanish dont waste their money on silly things like HS2 so their roads are mostly billiard table smooth and empty.
I did the last trip with Britanny ferries who laid on the accommodation
Doing classic le mans this year and mnaybe if time allows the north west 500 or whatever its called.
