I have had several close calls in bright sunlight where clear lens indications have simply not been sufficient. I’m sticking with good old fashioned orange lenses which leave you in little doubt.
Me too, I've never shared the enthusiasm for clear indicator lenses, for me it's a safety issue. I've never seen a problem with amber indicator lenses, any more than red tail lights.
