Hi Everyone,
Had a visit to the River Wye yesterday for my first foray this season in search of a salmon.
As usual nothing doing but the scenary really is magnificent. But what really made the day was the sighting of an otter.
I watched it for about ten minutes as it searched for a meal. It's luck or skill or whatever was the same as mine and he disturbed no fish (cos there weren't any there!). But it really was a delight to watch.
Interestingly, I am reliably informed beavers are on the upper river and more are to be "stocked" and that beavers and otters do not get on together.
I look forward to seeing more of nature as the season progresses.
Regards
