They are also fundamental to good health. In days gone by, many railmen who were used to working extremely long hours and had no hobbies didn't live very long after retirement.


Bob, a neighbour, 2 doors up the lane died a few weeks ago. He was 90, and retired from "the Railways" in 1983 age 55. So 35 years on a nice pension!!
