Hmmm...you haven’t exactly retired though have you Ian? 😉🤓

Dave....congratulations. If you are ever over this side of the country do feel free to pop in or stay.....I know it’s the wrong side of the Penines but it is quite nice!

I retired way back at the age of 46 😳 really out of choice in the days of good packages, to be with my wife who had been diagnosed with cancer. She gave up a successful career in TV and between demo and surgery and many hospital stays she dedicated her life to raising funds for charity. It gave me the chance to do many things part time that I’d always wanted to do...from assisting a friend in industrial design, helping him restore classic race cars, restore motorbikes and take my art work to a more professional level. That kept me going with never a thought of how I’d fill my day. After she died I continued the restoration work, discovered Morgan and then got sucked in to working at the factory as a tour guide....that almost became a full time job for a lot of the year! Now I have a new life up in Cumbria with new things to do. Several grandchildren not to mention “children” which I’ve never had before....sucking me into a sailing club I left back in 1970 where I am to train for the safety boat never mind getting involved in preparing a 106 year old sailing boat for launch in a months time for the village. And then there’s the Archive group want my assistance and the charity that runs the woods my back garden accesses want me too.......I don’t think I’m going to get bored!
