I have the chance this afternoon to see if last weekend efforts (battery renewed & MAF cleaned) have paid off.
I had one click on starting & then she fired up cleanly, idled evenly & drove really well over the 20 mile run out - so as very big thank you to all of you for your assistance & advice on the forum over the past few weeks.
