I thought that Skip fire alternated the non firing cyclider.
It does alternate the firing which is why it is really rough when it happens and the start of the skip fire sequence is totally random due to it being triggered by the temperature.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
