Does anyone know which cylinder doesn't fire when on "safety mode"? I've got my left cylinder that seems to have spark but no fuel. Washed it yesterday, pushed it back in the garage (dumb - I should have ran it dry) and then today it fired up, started missing on one cylinder and I shut it off. Felt like safe-mode. Now won't start and isn't getting fuel on the left side... trying to determine if this might be a shut-off problem, or a fuel line problem. Fuel pump runs when I turn the key, battery fully charged, fuel getting to right cylinder. Thanks in advance. Beautiful day, and another day in the shop, not on the road.

I had an issue with the same symptoms, happened literally overnight. Turned out to be a broken exhaust valve spring. Do a compression test on the bad cylinder. With the easy start cams, you should get about 50 psi. I was getting zero!

Sorry to say had a similar problem and it turned out to be a valve spring, in my case the inlet valve.

By the time you get yours, the V Twin will be powered by nuclear fusion, so no need to worry.

I thought that Skip fire alternated the non firing cyclider.
Anyway, a post 2014 car will have the urban cooling fan and no skipfire so unfortunately it's something else.

I thought that Skip fire alternated the non firing cyclider. It does alternate the firing which is why it is really rough when it happens and the start of the skip fire sequence is totally random due to it being triggered by the temperature.
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

John I had a failure to proceed (RR speak for wont start) after I washed mine. It was trying but failing to start. It turned out to be damp under the plug connectors to the injectors confusing fuel delivery. Pull the connectors off & make sure completely dry. Note to self keep the hose away from the top of the engine.
