Whilst returning from the Albert Ball bash the car decided it wanted remain in France and ground to a halt.
The problem seemed to be the fuel pump again (replaced at 8000 miles under warranty, milage now up to 18500 miles). After the car had stopped there was no fuel pump priming noise when ignition turned on, however this time the engine management light had also come on.
After being recovered home I plugged into ECU, the fault codes are P0170 Front Adaptive Maxed Out and P0173 Rear Adaptive Maxed out.
I assumed fault codes were possibly due to the fuel pump pressure
Being low and the Adaptive map increasing the fuel injection pulse time to compensate until it reached its max.
I have fitted a new fuel pump today and the pump priming noise is back to normal and the car started ok, however when I try to clear the fault codes they clear for a few seconds and then return. This happens with just the ignition on or when the car is running. Left car running at idle until warm and tried again but same results. Didn't want to take car for a run with engine management light on just in case it's causing damage.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated before I arrange trip to dealers.
Cheers Big Steve
