You will not buy a decent 1999 +8 for under 37 k!
One of the members bought a 1999 +8 from a private sale last Novembder up to now he has had to spend 3 k on replacing parts.
At least a dealer will give a few months warranty.
I will watch with interest !
I have to say I agree. Morgans should always be bought on condition, and a long door 3.9 Hotwire car with stainless bulkhead & inner wings is probably the most desirable spec - all the later build quality improvements without the complexity of GEMS.
It's not like the market is exactly flooded with cars of this spec for sale. The way I see it there are two major risks:
1. You spend so long looking for a car at the right price the market moves even further away from your chosen price point
or
2. You end up having to buy a car with some issues that need rectification, leading to a final expenditure much greater than you would have paid by buying a good one.
