Maybe I should explain
One of the main reasons for wanting to SORN the car is I'm expecting my first child early next year and I'm struggling to drive the Mog at the moment as it is. There won't be enough room for 3 of us (the OH and I always go out in the Morgan together, never separately) so I really don't foresee us doing many miles therefore it makes most sense to SORN for a year. The insurance was the final nail really particularly given that if I do have a prang, my excess would be over a grand which I personally feel is ridiculous.
Thank you all for the suggestions though - I'll look for someone who can offer me fire & theft I think. My main problem is that being under 30, most specialists won't quote me so I'm stuck with all the usual high street suspects - looks like I'll be in for a lot of ringing around over the next few weeks
