That does make me smile, because when my sister moved to Wolverhampton to work at the European head office of Goodrich Actuation Systems (or Lucas Aerospace as it was originally, now UTAS UTC), she was accused of being a glory seeking w...er for being a Southampton fan.
As to calling Wolves mighty, well I always refer to Southampton as the mighty Saints. We fans of more modest clubs have to seek our comfort where we can....
Oh, and TMG513, you have my sincere sympathy for Villa's plight. Been there, done that, got the T shirt. I've always maintained that one of the great advantages that being a Saints fan has given me in life, is that I'm used to the disappointment.
Wolves were one of the founding members of the Football League and have been Champions three times and runners-up five. They have also been Champions of divison/league 2, 3 and 4. They have won the FA Cup four times, the Football League Cup twice and were UEFA Cup runners-up. I know Villa have a European Cup to their name but Wolves helped pioneer European football in the first place.
